Cheap Wholesale Clothing

October 8th, 2011

The words, cheap and wholesale often go hand in hand. This is because the main and probably only reason why people would shop at wholesalers is because of the cheap wholesale clothing. Some wholesalers sell the clothing to consumers at the same prices as they would sell them to retailers who will add money on top of that to cover their expenses, like transport, overhead and salespeople, and of course they still want to make a profit as well, so the difference between the prices you would find at a wholesaler and the prices you find at a retailer is quite large.

Sometimes it may not be especially profitable for a wholesaler to sell clothing to consumers because unlike retailers, they will not buy the clothing in large amounts. But many wholesalers will set up one of their warehouses for consumers to come and shop at. The reason they do this is because they often have clothing, which they have not been able to sell. Not because the clothing have defects, but simply because the demand for that particular line of shirts or jeans, was not as high as expected. Also when certain styles are seen as outdated or last season’s styles, retailers will no longer want to buy them. Rather than just keeping the clothing and hoping that they will still be sold at some point, the wholesalers will put them for sale as cheap wholesale clothing in one of their warehouses.

This does not cost them a whole lot as they will not have the same expenses as retailers. They do not need an experienced and knowledgeable sales assistant and they will not need to put an extra price on top to make profit because they do not have the extra transport costs as a retailer does. Cheap wholesale clothing is just as high quality as the clothing you would find in the mall or shopping street. You can even find cheaper designer wear from time to time. The only difference with wholesale shopping is that the shopping experience will probably not be as great as when you go to an established mall retailer.

Some people even see cheap wholesale clothing as a way to make some extra money. If you are thinking of making money in this way, you have to consider all the expenses before you get started. The most important thing for you to remember is that if you want to make a profit, you have to work out a plan that will help you keep costs low. Some people opt to buy cheap wholesale clothing in bulk and then sell them online, either on their own online store or on commerce websites. If you decide to do this, you have to consider whether the costs of sending the clothing will be affordable for you.

If you buy cheap wholesale clothing, and sell them at a small profit (because they still have to be cheaper than the regular retailers or consumers will have no incentive to buy from you) only to spend a fortune on delivery costs, you will just be wasting your time losing money or at best just breaking even. It can be possible to make money in this way, but only if you carefully consider all the costs and make a working business plan. There is no such thing as easy money and if you don’t want to put in the work, then you are better off not starting it at all. Otherwise you may find yourself stuck with a huge amount of cheap wholesale clothing, which you can’t sell at a profit.

Plus Size Clothing

January 16th, 2011

Plus size clothing shopping is a pleasure for some full-figured women, and a chore for others. Whether you love it and shop twice a week, or hate it and shop twice a year, it can be a painless experience no matter what size you are. Use these plus size shopping tips to make your wardrobe hunt the fun experience it should be.

Know Your Measurements: Notice I didn’t say know your size. Your size will vary according to what you’re shopping for. The brand, style and sometimes even the fabric will make a difference. No two size 16′s are the same in my book. That goes for the clothes, and the women. So ask a trusted friend (it’s easier that way) and with a measuring tape, have them measure across the fullest part of your bust. Your natural waistline, and around the fullest part of your hips. Pull the measuring tape snug, not tight. Write these numbers down and tuck them in your purse. They will come in very handy, especially if you can’t or don’t want to try things on. — I recommend you try on clothes whenever possible, unless it’s something you’ve owned before.

Wear Your Best Undergarments: Unless you’re shopping for sweats and t-shirts, don’t go shopping in your sports bra. To get the best fit wear a supportive bra and underwear that keeps you smooth under your clothes.

Dress Comfortably Head to Toe: Trying on clothes is tedious for some plus size women so make sure you’re comfortable while you do it. Easy on; easy off is the name of the game. Don’t forget some comfy shoes, especially if you’re going to be trekking through the mall all day. A simple slip on flat will have you in and out of dressing rooms with ease.

Shop with a Friend: An opinion you trust is a valuable thing, especially if you’re going to move out of your comfort zone and experiment with new styles or colors in your wardrobe. If you have to shop alone but want a sounding board, chit chat with a sales person and ask her to pick out what she thinks will look good on you. This will give you a feel for her taste and plus size know-how. Use the sales staff ( I’ve found they’re usually honest) to get feedback about what you’re trying on. I’ve never been afraid to ask the lady in the next fitting room what she thinks either.

Size is a Guideline, Not a Goal: Keep this in mind and your shopping experience will be much more pleasant and productive. If you fall into the trap of believing you should be one particular size no matter what, you’ll make yourself miserable. Plus size clothing sizing can vary wildly so your idea of what “size” you are can limit your choices. Use your perceived size as a guideline; a starting point. Then be willing to go up or down a size to get the perfect fit for you.

With so many plus size options available now both on the internet and out in the malls, shopping can be just as much fun for full-figured women as it is for any other woman, trendy or classic, who’s looking for plus size fashion style, fit and comfort.
